Disclosure of Interest expressed by David Jenkins regarding Proposed Wind Farm at Hinwick, and the effect same will have on the prices of houses. (But see Minutes for November for further clarification) Minutes of Meeting held 26thSeptember were agreed and signed as correct but not to appear on the website. Mrs. Allsopp welcomed back to the Council, having agreed to act as temporary clerk. Outstanding Matters from previous meetings.Affordable Housing - awaiting update from Mr. Bird. Mrs. Tusting will pursue, possibly also with the Rural Housing Trust. Litter and Dog Bins - confirmed clerk to write to Borough Council about emptying bins, also request them to move the dog bin behind Mr. and Mrs. Dilley, Bridgend footpath. Wind Farm Project, Hinwick - Mr. Jenkins reported following presentation by CLOWD at the recent Community Liaison Forum. There are proposals for 41 wind turbines in our area, 15 at Hinwick (reduced to 9), 16 at Nun Wood and 10 at Petsoe, and eventually all the way to Cambridge. It was decided an open meeting should be arranged in December, invite CLOWD and the developers. Highway matters - Mr. Jenkins had spoken to Celia Sellers at the C.L.F. Clerkto write about dragons teeth , bollards, (Parish Council never requested these); new 30 m.p.h. signs in Carlton Road, one high, one low; handrail not on Harrold Bridge but along ditch, Carlton Road; and the state of the edge of the causeway where water is percolating the stones. No County Councillor’sReport Borough Councillor’s Report. Mr.Brandon was asked about Councillors’ 28% pay rise. County Councillors get £8,000., Borough Councillors £4,000.Some Borough Councillors on the County receive the £8,000. and the £4,000.Bus station will be moving, town centre development going ahead, the new bridge “moves along the river”, trying to resurrect the canal ideas. School Governor’s Report.Mrs. Simpson said they have had a meeting but not much to report. Everything running smoothly, 72 children.82% come from outside the catchment area.Harrold Lower School is full.

Ask C.C. if they can recommend anyone. Grass-cutting to be included on the agenda for next meeting, councillors all have a map. Long Stile footpath, The Causeway end, staggered access gate to school vandalised. Ask B.C.C. to repair same. 150 Hawthorn slips required for hedging, clerk to ask Mr. Alderman. Also tell him the Golden Jubilee tree has died, could it be replaced ?
Mr. Benson intimated that when the accounts for the two years are completed, and current year up-to-date, he would resign as Chairman. The B.A.T. & P.C. have confirmed that a co-opted member of the Parish Council can be appointed as an officer.
Date of next meeting - 14thNovember.It would be nice to have a meeting at Chellington - to be considered next year when the evenings are light again.
