Mr. J. Bird –Affordable Housing Co. Ltd
Mr Bird advised that they have been in operation for 6/7 months and are a
company dedicated to the provision of affordable houses. They are a part of
HRH Prince Charles Rural Housing Initiative. They don’t need Government
funding therefore the process is more efficient. They offer a Perpetual Shared
Ownership Scheme and a Social Rented Housing scheme specifically for people
with connections to the village. They like to work closely with the Parish
Council in drawing up the P106 agreement so that the Parish Council could have
first choice of future occupants for these houses. A Housing Needs Survey
would have to be carried out first to identify the needs within the village.
It was decided to proceed with that survey.
