The Carlton Village Show
This year the Carlton Village Show will take place on Saturday 4th
September. Although there has been a distinct lack of rain we are still
hoping for many entries. Anyone from Carlton, Harrold and the surrounding
villages can enter!
Show schedules will be delivered to members of the Carlton Garden and
Allotment Society, and to non-members who entered last year mid August.
Extra schedules will be left in the Carlton Village Shop so collect one and
‘have a go’ if you have not entered before! The Children’s schedule will be
distributed through the local school or only to families where we know there
are children. If you do not receive a copy of the Junior Schedule, and want
one, a copy can be collected from the Village Shop or from the Show
Secretary (Paul Harrison, 2 The Barns, Bridgend, Carlton). Of course you can
preview the schedule right here.
Entry forms must be delivered to 2 The Barns, Bridgend, Carlton by 7.00pm
on Friday 3rd September. Late entries cannot be accepted.
The Show will be in Carlton Village Hall as usual and the basic timetable
for Show Day will be as follows:-
Staging time for entries - 9.30 - 11.45 am.
Show opens to the public - 2.15 pm
Presentation of trophies - 4.00 pm
Raffle draw - 4.10 pm
Exhibits not for sale to be removed between 4.10 and 4.30
Sale of produce from Show - 4.30 *
*We usually have some produce left over so, if you do not have the
opportunity to buy on the Saturday, look for the stall outside 1, High
Street the next day.
Please support your local Show !
Even if you do not enter anything come along in the afternoon as there
will be lots of things to see and, as usual, we will be serving teas, cakes
etc.

set of tips for exhibitors whilst Schedule will give you details of the
event including all the classes in which you can enter.
Children's Section gives details of all the competitions open to Juniors
only
